Full Electrical Installation for National Retailer - Small Format Sites

The Objective
To provide a full electrical and containment installation for other trades within a 3 week programme. Liaise with Design Team prior to installation to refine M&E programme. Provide & install generator when utilities were off-track without notice.

The Solution
Additional resources were deployed to handle the generator installation when utility provider was unable to deliver on-time. ASH electrical engineers completed the installation and worked well with the build team to provide a flexible service to enable them to accommodate other trades such as CCTV, HVAC, Data & EPoS. There were several changes to the build programme and specifications throughout the project - each was documented, tracked and completed within variation cost budget. A solid working relationship with our suppliers was key to the success of this project due to the short notice changes. Engineers completed the power upgrade once the store was live and the utility company had delivered power.

The Result
ASH were engaged by this national retailer after they had a change of strategy within the build teams. We were able to complete the original programmes with an average of a 10% saving on the previous contractor due to the level of project management we offer to support our engineering network. This meant we were able to pinpoint changes to programme immediately and react to these in an efficient manner whilst minimising variation costs. At project handover we presented fully updated CAD drawings, testing documentation including the circuit charts for the distribution board matching the drawings and representing the many changes throughout the build.
