February 2010 - IT spending to recover in 2010

Gartner has predicted that 2010 will see the global tech market surface from the recession and worldwide IT spending to grow by 4.6 per cent this year. They reported that spending in all areas of IT - hardware, software, IT services and telecoms - will grow this year to reach a combined total of $3.4tn - that's roughly £2.1tn. Peter Sondergaard, senior vice president at Gartner commented that "While the IT Industry will return to growth in 2010, the market will not recover to 2008 revenue levels before 2012."
